Accessibility Statement

Beyond the Podium: AI, Speech, and Civic Engagement was intentionally designed to be accessible and inclusive for all learners. Accessibility and universal design principles were integrated throughout the development of this book to support a wide range of learning needs, preferences, and abilities.

This resource was developed in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to promote content that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all students. Accessibility best practices were applied throughout, including the use of structured headings, accessible tables, descriptive alternative text for images, captioned media, meaningful link text, and clear, readable content. Interactive and multimedia elements were designed with accessibility considerations to support equitable engagement across learning environments.

The editors and authors recognize that accessibility is an ongoing process and are committed to continuous improvement. Feedback from instructors, students, and readers is welcomed and encouraged to help identify opportunities to further enhance the accessibility, usability, and inclusivity of this open educational resource.
