Peer Review Statement

Beyond the Podium: AI, Speech, and Civic Engagement was produced with support and funding from the Sally W. Kalin Early Career Librarianship for Learning Innovations. A core commitment of this project was ensuring the book meets high standards of quality and serves the diverse needs of students.

To support this goal, the book underwent a formal peer review process involving 14 subject-matter experts, with each chapter reviewed by two reviewers. The review process focused on the intended audience and evaluated the accuracy, relevance, and comprehensiveness of the content, as well as the integration of AI literacy objectives. Feedback and recommendations provided by reviewers were carefully considered and incorporated by the chapter authors and editorial team.

The editors (Tiffany Petricini and Sherry Rice) and authors (Erika Berlin, Delia Conti, Lee Ann Dickerson, Qi Dunsworth, Janie Harden Fritz, Jacqueline M.
