About this Handbook

The purpose of this handbook is to provide common points of reference and discussion for participants in Libraries Stand for Privacy: National Forum for Privacy Literacy Standards and Competencies (sites.psu.edu/plforum/, March 10-11, 2025).

Compiled by the project team and featuring contributions from forum participants, the handbook features privacy literacy education toolkits, curricula, current awareness resources, continuing education and professional development materials, and related scholarly and professional communication.

We invite forum participants to browse the handbook and explore more deeply those entries that pique your curiosity, inspire inquiry, or address a need. The handbook will remain as an anthology of privacy literacy-related works curated by the very practitioners and scholars who are doing the work.
