We hope you have enjoyed reading through and interacting with our OER designed as a supplement to introductory-level oceanography courses offered at the university level. Our efforts in authoring this online publication are to achieve the following:

Overarching Goal: After reading through and engaging with the material presented in this OER, students will understand the process of scientific ocean drilling and its context in oceanographic discovery and exploration, past and present.

This OER is a living document where we are continuing to add to and expand upon the stories of scientific ocean drilling. We welcome your suggestions and feedback, especially on topics for inclusion that would strengthen the content to reach our Overarching Goal – and, as always happens with anything online, we appreciate notice of any broken internet links or additions of new articles/resources to add to our For Further Exploration section. Please enter your thoughts in the form below, or visit our feedback form in a new browser tab.
