Carolina Ground Cricket

Eunemobius carolinus

An illustration of a Carolina Ground Cricket

Carolina ground crickets are found across the continental United States with the exception of the Pacific Northwest. They can be found in almost all habitats, including the woods. This is the only ground cricket that is common in the woods. Carolina ground crickets tend to be smaller than Allard’s ground crickets and striped ground crickets.
