Introduction

Lawyers are communicators. We communicate to various audiences, for various reasons, and in various methods. One way of communicating with clients, potential clients, and other readers, is through blogging. If you work for a firm, it may have a blog or a client newsletter. Blogs and newsletters containing legal updates or reminders can be marketing tools but also serve another purpose, to share information and spotlight legal issues.

At Penn State Dickinson Law, we have the Inside Entrepreneurship Law blog. This blog (or blawg) is designed to share information with entrepreneurs and those who represent entrepreneurs. While the posts are for educational purposes only (and yours will be too), they can provide a general understanding of the law and provide awareness of a potential issue. Blog posts are not a substitute for specific legal advice.

This Unit will put you on the path to writing-blog-post success.
